Graphic design means the design of various media as a means of communication by creating or combining artistic components such as symbols, images, letters, through a design process such as typography, illustration, composition, etc. Graphic design focuses on being good-looking and intelligible. Graphic design is not limited to just computer-generated works but also works that are designed through tools such as pencils, pens, and brushes as well.
การออกแบบกราฟิก หมายถึงการออกแบบสื่อต่าง ๆ เพื่อใช้เป็นตัวแทนในการสื่อสาร โดยการสร้างหรือรวมส่วนประกอบทางศิลป์ เช่น สัญลักษณ์ รูปภาพ ตัวอักษร มาผ่านกระบวนการทางการออกแบบ เช่น การออกแบบตัวอักษร การวาดภาพประกอบ การจัดองค์ประกอบ ซึ่งมักจะเน้นที่ความสวยงามและสามารถตีความได้โดยง่าย กราฟิกดีไซน์ไม่ได้ถูกจำกัดแค่เพียงการทำงานบนคอมพิวเตอร์เท่านั้น แต่ยังรวมถึงผลงานที่ถูกออกแบบผ่านเครื่องมือต่าง ๆ เช่น ดินสอ ปากกา พู่กัน อีกด้วย
